IUPUI Chapter 2017-2018 Executive Officers


JulieJulie Vincent

Adviser

Julie Vincent, APR Julie has more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, crisis management, marketing and writing services. She is currently an adjunct professor at IUPUI in the Journalism department. A published author and a national award-winning corporate communicator, Julie has a B.S. in Journalism, English and Radio/Television/Film from Ball State University and a M.S. in Journalism and Secondary Education from Butler University. She also has her APR designation from the Public Relations Society of America and is a past president of both the Hoosier Chapter of PRSA and the Indianapolis Public Relations Society.


Aaron Hanke

President

Aaron Hanke is a public relations major.  Once he graduates, he plans on putting on his cowboy boots and moving to Austin, Texas, working in digital media at the intersection of culture and tech.  While he’s not writing for PRSSA or Do317, you can find him making mimosas and macarons at The Gallery Pastry Shop or planning his next cross-country adventure.  His favorite PRSSA event was the 2016 National Assembly.

Andrew Burton

Vice President

Andrew is a journalism major with a concentration in public relations. He plans to move to California to pursue a career in entertainment PR. Andrew loved attending national conference because of all the amazing people he met and the things he learned. Andrew participated in the 2006 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Lenie Tsakonas

Director of Communications

Lenie Tsakonas is a public relations major, originally from the Chicagoland suburbs, who then moved to New Palestine, Indiana. Her passion for PR is contagious and she is completely obsessed with the program here at IUPUI. Lenie is a social media enthusiast, a lover of the arts, The Fashion Mall, and LinkedIn. Her favorite part about being a member of PRSSA is, the opportunity to meet people outside of the confines of IUPUI’s campus.

Alison Primavera

Director of Creative Design

Alison is a communication major with a PR certificate and  event management certificate.
She is still exploring the options of where these fields will take her, but she is open to try whatever comes her way. One day, she hopes to be living in a big city with a job that has an enjoyable and hard-working environment. Alison is a big believer in homemade food, the oxford comma, dad jokes, live music and good karma.

Allie Wigginton

Kristin Scriven

Secretary

Kristin is a communication studies major and she is earning a certificate in public relations from the IU School of Liberal Arts. When she isn’t in class her favorite past time is watching Netflix with her roommates and exploring Indianapolis.  Her dream job would be one where she can combine her love of travel, photography, and wine. Kristin can’t wait to celebrate 10 years of PRSSA at IUPUI.


Leslie Salazar

Director of Special Events & Professional Development

Leslie is majoring in journalism with a concentration in public relations and minoring in event management. She is still trying to figure out what she wants to do for the rest of her life, but she does have a couple of areas that interest her -music festivals and creating brands for companies or individuals. She is hoping with the internships she has this year, it will help solidify her goal and create a paved path for her next move once she graduates. One of her favorite PR topics is personal branding.
